They Understand? Nothing, #mfrwauthor

Welcome to Week 10. And one of those off-beat, impossible to answer questions. I thought... and I thought... and I thought. What would be something only my family would understand?

It wouldn't be anything related to the writing craft. Nor computers. Scrolling down to read a digital newsletter is as far as their experience goes.

It wouldn't be my love of history. Everyone in the historical society can relate to that.

Nor would it be collecting art tiles. Every art pottery lover (or for that matter any collector) understands the urge and lure.

Personality? Television Programs? Books?

Finally I threw in the towel. There is nothing about me that only my family could understand. Familiarity doesn't necessarily grant exclusivity. My official reason for "Nothing" is that the no one understands me. With that cryptic answer, I'm off to visit the other posts in the challenge and hope you will too.

~till next time, Helen

  1. Before I start receiving mass emails, no penguins were hurt in the making of the meme. And yes I'm the blue one. :)

  2. I'd be willing to bet that in a week or so, you will be able to think of something that fits this topic. I wracked my brains for hours, attempting to write my blog post Wednesday, Thursday, then finally this morning after wearing myself out in my aquacise lass, the lightbulb went off!

    1. I think part of the problem was trying to figure out something my family understands about me but no one else. Enjoyed your post.

    1. That thought had occurred to me after I did the photoshopping which is why I put in the first comment. when I learned to write one of the rules was you don't kick the dog.

    1. The tile was from Progressive Art Tile Company. Similar designs can be found in ash trays. Now that the book will on New Jersey tile firms will never be written I have to sell my collection.

  5. Collecting art tiles sounds interesting to me. I understand the need to collect something that makes us feel good. Enjoy your weekend.

    1. The tile collection came about because my in-laws were involved in the industry. It gave hubs and myself something to do together. Later I displayed the local ones at area museums. Thanks for stopping by.
