From the dark fantasy, Imprisoned in Stone.

A faint longing filtered through Colwyn's concentration. “Who are you?” he whispered. He pushed the question outward with all his force of will. It struck an impenetrable force. Someone or something blocked his contact. Trying a different approach, he cast the spell he was working on, the one to summon an unknown mage. No face appeared, but he caught a hint of surprise.
